Happy Easter! I hope everyone has enjoyed their day with family and friends and reflecting on the true meaning of today. We started off the day with Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny, a great church service which ended in a small egg hunt for the Sunday schoolers, then ANOTHER egg hunt at home with family then ended it all with an amazing lunch! Posted below is the link to one of the most delicious and easy desserts ever. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we all did...................

Should we play catch up or start fresh?
So I have been putting alot of thought into our little blog lately and I cant help but want to start blogging again. With our days so busy, I rarely find time do drag all my scrapbook stuff out and get cute little pages made and with blogger it is so easy to load your pictures, type a few words and post everything to a cute background.
As of right now I have definitely decided to start blogging again. Mainly so that we can have our story out there for our kids to see when they get older. I haven't done anything with this poor old page for over three years and there is a TON of life events missing. I guess the big question is do I pick up where I left off in 2010 and try to catch up or just start fresh from where we are now?....... I guess we'll have to see how ambitious I am..... :)

Major Renovations!!!!! plus a few more.....
So it's been quite a while since we have last posted anything, but it has been busier than ever around our house. This last summer we finally got started on the biggest project of them all....... turnig a 2 bedroom house into a 3 bedroom house!!! It was a lot of hard work but it was definitely woth it all in the end. Thanks to Michael's brother DK and a few others, the kiddos now have their own rooms!!!!! Yay! Also here are a few shots of some other stuff from fall 2010!!!
The kids LOVE the four-wheeler! Vroom! Vroom!
We had the kids pictures taken together back in October. They both looked so adorable Amy couldnt resist taking a few pictures of her own.
Sweet brother and sister.....
So this is Tyler's new room! The kids got to pick out their own paint colors and she picked PURPLE! Reminds me of grape Kool-aid. haha......
Brandon of course picked red! And flames for curtains. He will definitely be our little hot rodder!!!!
Since we added a third room, we had to shorten the length of our rectangle living room. The new wall is one of our favorites of the project!!!
Of course the projects around here re never done but it was such a relief to get the big scary one done ond overwith! It was such a learning experience! We LOVE it!!!

A new update
So here is just a little glimpse of what's been going on around here lately. Since we started the re-model (pictures to come soon) we have been super busy and have'nt had a lot of time. Our summer started off great with a little vacation to California to see Granddad and Gram B. It was so nice to see everyone and get away for a bit. After that we took it easy for a few and then started the big projects on the house. The kiddos finally have their own rooms, our living room has been transformed and there is a cute little porch added to the front of the house. Hopefully we can post all of that soon, but here is all the other stuff in between.............

Our yard is alot bigger than most people think and a chunk of it is unfortunately un-maintained at the moment and is a little overgrown. The kids however found it absolutely fascinating since there seemed to be hundreds of fuzzy black caterpillars out there this summer. Everyday for weeks they would go "caterpillar hunting" out it the weeds. The wagon became the bug taxi and they got carted all over the yard. By now they are all busy preparing to be big beautiful butterflies in the spring time!
How fast time flies! Before we knew it it was the first day of school again. Brandon is a bigtime 1st grader and Tyler started pre-school too. Brandon is doing great and loves first grade. Tyler only goes 2 days a week but she thinks it is so cool because she has her own teacher and friends.....just like Bubba!
With summer being such a busy time, sometimes some of us just get pooped out and can't quite make it to bed. :)
But other times, we have so much energy we just can't bear to close our eyes for one second! I had a lot of work to do out in the yard and laid Tyler down for an afternoon nap. I got the feeling someone was watching me and when I turned to check things out I saw this little body standing in the window sill. Needless to say I could'nt say no to a face like that, and there was no nap that day. Instead I had a little assistant gardener.
When school starts we all know that means football season is not far behind. Both the kids get so excited to go to the Friday night games. Usually we just go to the home games, but this time we decided to go to St Johns for the game. We had just pulled into town when everyone started saying they moved the game. Confused, we went to the field and sure enough, everyone was getting ready to pack up and head out. They moved the game to the only other available field that happened to be just over an hour away. So, we got to be part of the seemingly endless caravan of cars heading out to the new location. The picture didnt really capture the giant line of cars but it did show off the pretty sunset we got to see on the way there!
Once fall starts arriving, there are so many beautiful places to go and see around our home. We love to go out to the mountains and explore and we once found a little place where wild raspberries grew. Last year was a bad year for them but this year we got lucky and found a bunch of berries. Mike was a little hesitant to taste test but the kids thought it was the greatest thing ever, getting to play around outside AND find food all at the same time!
The kids and I were outside one day and kept hearing this little chirp from under the apple tree. When I went over to see what it was, this little guy was what I found. I guess it was about time to leave the nest.

Happy 3rd Birthday!
How time flies! Tyler is already 3 years old and all grown up! ( so she thinks) She loves everything from bugs, to princesses and Barbies and brings smiles to our faces everyday!
Daddy's work schedule always seems to fall on birthdays so we usually have a birthday dinner and cake on the kid's actual birthdays and then follow with a big party on a weekend that we are all at home.
Mmmmmm! Yummy cupcakes!

Bubz is always such a big help with present opening.

Tyler wants to be a cheerleader sooooo bad. At the football games she always dances along with the cheerleaders and then talks about them for weeks! So we found her her very own uniform!
This year we decided to do things a little different than usual and had a pizza party at our local pizza place.......Goob's Pizza. ( yes, it's spelled correctly :))
The kids had fun since we got a table near the little arcade. I've never seen quarters dissappear so quickly.

So Far Behind....Will I Ever Catch Up?
So I know I have not posted ANYTHING since August so here is my attempt to try and catch up on everything so I can get a fresh start on things for the New Year to come. There is a little of everything from the past 6 months in this entry so there's not much of a theme. Enjoy!
This was one of the last "summer" like days we had here. My mom and I took the kids to Government Springs and went on a little nature walk.
And of course we could'nt passup the Run to the Pines Car Show. The kids and I have gone every year since we moved back and Mike comes if he does'nt have to work. Its always a lot of fun and maybe one year I will have my own little hot rod in the contest!
The kids always think it is neat to see the cars that are "their size" in the show

One of my cousin's had been married in Las Vegas and they wanted to have a little reception for each of their families at the park in September. It was good to get that much of our family together. Unfortunately that doesnt happen as much as we'd like it to anymore.

My dad and Great Uncle Bobby

My Huge family.... minus a few that i accidentally cut off. Dang it

Both of our kids LOVE to go to football games so we got them some official ELK gear to show their pride.

Tyler wants so badly to be a cheer leader. So everytime we dress her up in black and gold she exclaims " Look!!! I look like the "cheer weeders"!"

Brandon's class got to go to the Pumpkin patch this year before Halloween and do a corn maze and pick their own pumpkins. Mike and Tyler tagged along for the fun!

One of the few pictures we got of Brandon. He was too busy with his classmates!!!!

The class having a picnic in the park afterward.

Tyler loved the fact that she got to play too!
This was the pumpkin we bought at the store but I think it still looked cool with the ghostly pumkin carved into it! Happy Halloween!
