Trip to Springerville

Well we went to Springerville for a week right before Christmas to visit family and just get away for a few days. It was nice to be home and spend time with everyone but it didn't seem like we had enough time with everybody......

On our way back to the airport it had snowed so much that they had to close down the interstate so we got stuck at a little casino/ hotel. Luckily they had Santa visit that night so Brandon and Daddy got to get a picture taken with him ......

We took a Drive up around Big Lake and there was a small herd of Elk that ran across the road as we were driving up.....
Brandon thought the bed at the hotel was a good substitute for a trampoline.
The antler is as big as he is......
After our Drive to Big Lake Grandpa Oltesvig took us to see his new motor grater at work and Brandon got to help him drive it.

He's Finally Home!!!!!!

Well Mike is finally home for good!!!! He landed at Ft Campbell around 10 am Thursday morning. It was one of the best days of our lives!!!! We didnt get a ton of pictures but a few good ones. It was so good just to have him home and know he isn't going anywhere else!!!!

Woo Hoo!!!! The plane has landed!!!
There were so many soldiers on the flight we looked and looked and he was finally near the end. It was so cold outside that as soon as he walked past us we litterally ran inside the hangar!!!
They all got in formation and marched in as a group. Mike is in the very front about the 3rd from the front so you can't reall y see him but he is there!!!!
Waiting, waiting waiting. They were delayed adn hour and 15 inutes which seemd to crawl by. Brandon was a trooper and was fairly good through the whole thing. he did start to get ancy towards the end though. But it was all worth in the end!!!!

Brandon wouldn't let go of daddy the whole time!!! When they had to get back in formation and go to the Brigade area he got so upset because he thought daddy got back on the plane to leave again. It was so cute to see him and his daddy so happy.
And we are finally a family again!!!! It was so good to see him home again~!!!!! We are so proud of him for everything he does!!!!!

To Infinity...........And Beyond!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Buzz Lightyear" at our Company level Halloween event. The candy table in the background was his favorite spot all night. And he also won Best Toddler Costume. Being the only toddler dressed up couldn't have hurt either......

Fall Fest 2006

The fall fest this year wasn't a huge one but there were a lot of inflatables for Brandon to jump in and he got to paint an awesome pumpkin. It now looks like we have a disco ball sitting on our front porch, because of all the paint and glitter on it. He has lots of fun even though he did get stuck in one of the inflateables and had to be rescued by the lady in charge if it.

Buenos Noches!!!!!!!!

A few of my friends and I went to dinner and come to find out it was one of their birthdays. The staff sang to her in Spanish and she had to wear the cute little hat. The kids thought the hat was cooler than she did.

August 2006

Well Brandon has taken an interest in "choo choos" here lately so I thought it might be fun to go check out the model trains at the Customs House museum. They run every Sunday afternoon and admission is free on Sundays as well. This one is a miniature model of historic, downtown Clarksville.

As you can see he had so much fun. The whole floor is for kids but the trains were definitely his favorite. The "Conductor" even let us go inside the display case and see everything close up!!!

We spent the afternoon at the Riverwalk Park and watched the boats go by. This propeller was donated as a monument by one of the ship captains that ran one of the towboats that along the river. Brandon stood still long enough for me to get a couple of pictures of him next to it.

He actually looks smaller next to the huge boat propeller. Hee hee!!!!

Happy Fourth of July!!

Every year there is a big carnival on post and this year Brandon was big enough to go on most of the rides all by himself!!!! As you can tell his favorite things were cars, bikes, and helicopters. HAHA. The first on is the helicopter ride. I couldnt get a good action shot cuz it went up too high and fast for me to get a picture that wasnt blurry.
As you can tell he takes his riding VERY seriously.

This year he was even big enough to ride the small dragon roller coaster!!! I thought it might be a little scary but he really loved it!!!!
And this was his favorite ride of all. We had to wait in line for this one and he threw a fit cuz he couldn't understand why we had to wait while other kids were already on there having fun. Once it was his turn he ran right up there, picked out his car, and jumped right in. He had a blast though being a big boy and it was good for me cuz I did'nt have to get on the rides and make myself sick.

Ahhhh.......Summer!

Brandon loves the water so I broke own and got him a little kiddie pool to play in around the house. He loves it!!! The big pool is so much more fun but he doesn't care as long as there's water around!
He also got a new squirt gun and decided it was funny to squirt Mommy in the face and pretty much all over. So we were both soaked by the time he was finished!

And Baby Makes FOUR!!!!

Yay! We are pregnant with our second one finally!!!!!! I found out just a few weeks after Mike left to go back. I know you can't see them but there are 2 little pink lines! I still haven't got sick yet(knock on wood) and I'm still feeling pretty good! Yay!!!!!

Ahhhh!!! Finally home for R&R!!!!

These were taken during R&R. Brandon wore Daddy's hat on the way home from the airport.
Like Father like son....

It was a nice day to go outside and play on his bike while dad followed him and tried to teach him to pedal!!!
His new Spongebob boxers. They are so cute!!!

Our Hero in the Sandbox!!!!!!!

Here is the most recent picture I have of him. We' re so proud!!!!!

Montgomery Gentry /Kieth Anderson Concert

About an hour and a half before the concert there was a huge downpour! Laura took the kiddos back to the van and me and 8 month pregnant Tia soldiered it out to save our spots!!!! We had to clear the Parade Field once because of lightning but the storm cleared up and things got started on time. We got soaked as you can see but it was so fun! Once we got the "all clear" we brought the kids back and had a great time!!!
Kieth Anderson was the opening act.
Montgomery Gentry were the headliners. They are a lot of fun in concert and you can tell they really enjoy performing and they support our troops 100%!!! We got pretty good seats but it was still hard to get good pictures. But it was a ton of fun just being there. They were taping the whole thing for a special on GAC ( Great American Country.. its kinda like CMT).One of the camera crews got right next to us and filmed us for a while but Brandon wasnt much for the spotlight. He just wanted to listen to the music and eat his fruit snacks. But look for us on TV soon !!!!!
