Week of the Eagles Air Show 2007

Well this last weekend the Week of the Eagles included an Air Show. They had re-enactments, displays and everything from WWII up to the present day. It was hot but we had a lot of fun and Brandon loved all the planes, tanks, and helicopters. WWII era plane
WWII re-enactors on top of tank
WWII medic truck
re-enactors marching

more planes......
Brandon thought the Vietnam helicopters were a lot of fun
Daddy and Brandon in front of another helicopter
Then he got to see where the gunner would sit during Vietnam
Then it was mom's turn......

Aren't I stylin'??????
WWII Air Assault re-enactment. We learned that during the war, foot soldiers got paid a whopping $21 a month but if you were a parachute jumper you got paid $50 a month!!!! Over double the pay to float into enemy territory!!!!!!
They had a bunch of different aircraft out on display and Brandon loved this plane. He got to see what the cargo area was like and then...........
He got to play pilot and play with the controls in the cockpit!!!!!
Some demonstrators performed a free fall jump. The pink smoked showed you where they were and how fast they were falling. At the last minute they would open their chute and land to safety

What a day!!!!!!

New Power Wheels!!!!

Brandon got a new Ford F-150 Power Wheels truck since he liked His friends firetruck one so much.
He got frustrated because it went a little faster than he remembered. So he did the "play dead" thing to show mom and dad that he was done with the truck.

He thought it was fun at first and took off before dad was ready. He had a lot of fun the night before while we were charging the battery. He sat in it to watch TV and everything. He was really excited to take it outside in the morning until he started going to fast. Since then he has yet to go and drive it again.

Trip to Springerville

Well we went to Springerville for a week right before Christmas to visit family and just get away for a few days. It was nice to be home and spend time with everyone but it didn't seem like we had enough time with everybody......

On our way back to the airport it had snowed so much that they had to close down the interstate so we got stuck at a little casino/ hotel. Luckily they had Santa visit that night so Brandon and Daddy got to get a picture taken with him ......

We took a Drive up around Big Lake and there was a small herd of Elk that ran across the road as we were driving up.....
Brandon thought the bed at the hotel was a good substitute for a trampoline.
The antler is as big as he is......
After our Drive to Big Lake Grandpa Oltesvig took us to see his new motor grater at work and Brandon got to help him drive it.
